Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has delivered a clear message to Pakistan through Operation Sindoor — that any attempt to spill Indian blood will be met with force. Speaking at a police recruitment event in Lucknow, Shah linked the recent anti-terror operation to a broader policy of decisive retaliation.
“Whether it was Uri, Pulwama, or now Pahalgam — India has answered every attack. Through Operation Sindoor, PM Modi has told the world that India’s blood is not meant to be shed, and anyone who tries will be punished,” Shah said.
Operation Sindoor was launched in response to the Pahalgam terror attack in April, which killed 26 people, including several tourists. According to officials, over 100 terrorists linked to Pakistan-based outfits were eliminated in targeted strikes by Indian forces across PoK and border areas.
Shah also took aim at the Congress, blaming it for failing to prevent terror attacks during its tenure. He said the Modi government has not only crushed cross-border terrorism but also pushed Naxalism into retreat — now limited to just three districts, compared to 11 states a decade ago.
